HOW 2 MAKE SUPER CUTE OUTFITS FROM BASICS!

 mini article guyz :P

Wanna make cute outfits without having statement pieces? Well, you’re reading the right article. This is --->>>

How 2 rock what you’ve got! A(nother) foolproof guide on how to style even the most basic pieces in your closet!

TANKS/UNDERSHIRTS

When styling tank tops and undershirts, it’s easy to just throw one on with some baggy jeans and call it a day. While this can be a cute look, it miiiight end up looking a little frumpy - which messes with the sillohuete. If it’s a long tank top, I would pair this with jeans that are lower rised to really show off the waist. If you’re not really digging pants that day, another viable option is a lower rised skirt. If you are short torso-ed like me, a cute option is to actually loop the belt on top of where the tank ends. If you are long torso-ed, I recommend tucking the tank top into some higher rise jeans. Some examples: (plz note that I am using Pinterest and it’s kind of hard to find every body type on there, unfortunately- but I believe these tips suit almost everyone.)

Now with shorter tank tops, I find it very stylish when another short tank top is layered underneath it, which gives more dimension to the outfit. Don’t be afraid to throw on a belt! These are also cute with t-shirt cardigans! If you don’t have one, I suggest cutting/cropping an old t-shirt in half.

T-SHIRTS/LONGSLEEVES

“But Sophi, what about my t-shirts? They’re all solid colored and boring… And I don’t know how to-” HUSHHH. Here are some ways to style your ‘boring’ t-shirts.

When styling solid-color t-shirts/long sleeve shirts, I would NOT recommend wearing them with black jeans, a black skirt or ANY kind of solid black bottom. There are exceptions to every rule, but most of the time, it ends up looking like a work uniform. If you do want to style a solid shirt with black jeans, make sure there is another color or an accessory to break it up. This goes for any color of jeans, actually. This could look like layering a basic white cami under the shirt, wearing extra jewelry, or wearing a belt. (Can you tell I love belts?) Make sure the tank-tops underneath go with the color scheme of the shirt.
