Hey guys! Today I will be sharing my favorite Black girl fashion inspirations from the 90's and 2000s! All of these girls have inspired me in one way or another- whether it's their character, style, or hair, they have shaped me into the girl I am today. Dionne Davenport ♡
Where do I even start with miss Dionne Davenport? Portrayed by the beautiful Stacey Dash, Dionne was, and still is, an inspiration for girls of all races. She exudes a level of confidence and class that some could only dream of, while still maintaining a playful and approachable sense of style. Here are some of my favorite looks from her!
I absolutely love her color coordination, her minimalistic jewelry and accessories, which make each of her outfits look polished and refined. And her hair!! Soooo cute.
Breanna Barnes ♡
Next up, Breanna Barnes from the sitcom, One on One. Similar to Dionne, Breanna is particularly well off, which is responsible for her amazing wardrobe. Her styling decisions are reflective of her personality: Sassy, feminine, and smart. Here's some looks from her!Breanna's girly yet practical style has been a total inspiration for me since I was little, and she has inspired tons of pieces in my closet today!
Toni Childs ♡
Ok, this show is little before my time, but Toni Childs's fashion has inspired so many women, including my own mom! (Guess that's where I got it from) I don't actually know much about this character, but I get a sense of ambition from her- like she's using her femininity for a purpose, to move up in her society. Unlike the last two characters, Toni is an adult, which gives her looks more maturity and sexiness.
